The library is going to the dogs! Come join us at the Gay-Kimball Library in Troy as children have the opportunity to “Paws to Read” with Amy Willey and her certified therapy dog Jubilee. Each child will receive 15 minutes to read to Jubilee. Suggested for beginning readers, reluctant readers or any readers in K-6 grade. Sign-up is required. Contact the Library at 242-7743 or at library@troylibrary.us Creating a calm and encouraging environment Jubilee will sit or lie close and listen quietly as children read aloud to her. It’s the ultimate in nonjudgmental support, with the added bonus of nice, soft fur. Paws to Read programs have been shown to help readers gain self confidence and improve their reading skills.
