Stats:

305 more patrons visited the library in June of 2007 than 2006

180 patrons used the computer in June, about the same as May

11 Tumble Books were listened to and 10 Audio Books were downloaded

Old Business:

1. The Trustees voted to change the Libraries hours effective September first. The library will be open on Tuesdays from 10:30-7:30, Wed and Thurs will stay the same and Saturday's hours will be 10:00-3:00. We will reassess the situation in a year and see how it is working out. It will cost apx. $45 to have the signs refaced. Catherine will order new book marks with the updated hours and the libraries web address.

2. Kathy Marrotte will be invited to our September Meeting. We will issue her an invitation once school starts. Eileen's last meeting will be in September.

3. The summer reading program was a huge success. 100 people have signed up as of today.

4. Beth is going to look into a pay as you go coffee machine for the library. We want a water tank that gets filled manually, coin operated and maintained by outside sources. Laidlaw has one and we can call and ask about it.

5. Maintenance: The outside lamp has been sanded, primed and painted ($578); it will cost $10 per window to have the windows washed; rug is being cleaned on August 6th and will cost $260. The meeting room will be done, the upstairs and high traffic areas and any spots.

New Business:

1. Personnel: Catherine will be hiring a new custodian. Karen has some personal issues and is resigning. She has a friend who is interested in the job and is willing to train her. Catherine has an ad running in the Keene Sentinel for a Library Assistant position. It will run from 7/19-7/27 and cost $91. Sherry will be cutting back on her hours. Catherine will hire the new person ASAP and they will be a back up until Sherry leaves.

2. The Ice Cream Social will be held on August 1st at 6:00pm. Catherine is looking for some help. Also we need volunteers to help out at the Troy Arts Fest selling Tree Free Tins. The Zoo program will be on July 28th at 11:00am. Harold will help set up and break down the show.

3. Catherine received a large envelope full of thank you cards from a 3rd grade class at Troy School and shared some of them with us.

4. There is a change in the law regarding how Trust Funds are managed. This does not affect us.

5. There were no public comments.

The next meeting will be held Thursday September 6th at 7:00pm.
