Selectmen Present: William T. Matson, Gideon L. Nadeau, Sr. and Robert J. Kemp, Jr.

Public Present: Meghan Foley (Keene Sentinel)

Chairman Matson called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

Administrative Business:
• Payroll Register, December 1, 2014, onwards needs to be reviewed and approved
• Accounts Payable Register, December 1, 2014, onwards needs to be reviewed and approved

Selectman Nadeau MOVED to postpone acceptance of the Meeting Minutes from December 1, 2014. SECOND: Selectman Kemp. VOTE: Unanimous.

Chair Matson asks if there is any discussion from public.

Chair Matson asks for any other comments for public session. Meghan Foley asks how the recent changes will impact the budget. His response is it gives us the opportunity to discover new efficiencies & advance the current process.

Meghan Foley asks if there are any more positions to be filled – the response from Chair Matson is that the situation is fluid, and they are currently reviewing what may work best for the needs in Troy, NH. Meghan follows up asking if the select board is looking to hire an administrative position & a welfare administrator. Meghan asked what the new hours of operation would be and the response was that it was currently under review and fluid.

Selectman Kemp states that he thinks two part time people is a good cost saving option and most efficient

Chair Matson explains that often when you lose a long term employee it often takes a few new hires before they are replaced with another long term hire. He likes the security of the finances being handled objectively outside the town hall as they go through this process. He also refers back to Aaron Patt referencing that a “home grown” person who can be trained in-house to our exact requirements.

Chair Matson makes a motion that Selectman Nadeau brings a proposal on how to fund the admin support in Cindy’s absence if he does not agree that it should come from the selectmen’s budget. Selectman Kemp seconds & vote is unanimous.

Chairman Matson MOVED to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 p.m. SECOND: Selectman Kemp. VOTE: Unanimous.
