SELECT BOARD MEETING  MINUTES

TOWN OF TROY

Tuesday, May 31, 2016 5:00 p.m.

Selectmen Present:  Barbara Guelcher, Allan Bailey and William T. Matson

Selectmen Matson called the meeting to order at 4:55 p.m.

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to accept Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes from 5/23/16  SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous

Jim Dicey – Update on Sand Dam dredging process

61 South St – Chairman Matson MOVED to have a 2 sided # sign for the Community Center SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous

Jim Dicey – recommended that the Town send a Thank you card to Ron Boardman for fixing the Troy Sign that was damaged.

Jim Dicey – Richmond Road paving will start June 13th.  Mr. Dicey informed John Satas that his logging will have to be done by then

Monument on the South end of Common – Chairman Matson stated that the Rhododendron bushes are covering it.  The Select Board is in agreement to get rid of the rhododendron bushes, crab apple trees, and the half-tree that are all on the common.

Shane’s Trucking Insurance Certificate – Alissa Fox has a call into Shane’s Trucking requesting the insurance certificate

Town Credit Card – Mrs. Fox is still researching

Ambulance – Troy Ambulance Inc’s lawyer forwarded over the account information.  Outstanding invoices should only be paid while they were a non-profit.

5:30 pm William & Dulcy Lansdon  of 16 Colonial Dr – Mobile home will be deeded to the Town next week.  Mr. Lansdon stated that he has been out of work all year for arthritis.  Mr. Lansdon stated that he will be signing up for Social Security Benefits. Chairman Matson stated that they have been in to the Selectmen’s office for the past 5 years over back property taxes. Chairman Matson suggest that the Lansdon’s talk to their parents and start making arrangements to move. Chairman Matson said that we will put them in contact with Southwestern Community Services.

83 High St, Linda Giles – PJD Septic came and pumped the tank.  Mrs. Giles is living with 2 sets of grandchildren and their children. PJD will be back this week to dig with a backhoe to check leach field.

Pelto Barn Property – Today was the deadline to close on the property for Ryley Pelto.  Mrs. Fox will contact St. Jean Auctioneers and state that we need to go to the next highest bidder. The Select Board would like Chief Ellis to go talk to the Pelto’s about the person living in the property.  Chairman Matson will talk to Chief Ellis.

Common Monument – Chairman Matson suggest we continue on with the other 3 wars on the monument. Call Veteran’s and see about adding new names to the monument.  Chairman Matson MOVED to nominate Selectmen Bailey to take care of monument SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous

Beaupre – Chairman Matson stated that court was canceled on Friday.

Bank signatures – Get signature cards from bank.  Chairman Matson will be other signor on account if Janet McCullough is unavailable.

Vacant Building Registration – TABLED
