Board of Trustees Meeting August 7, 2019

Members Present: Peg Rouleau, Kristan Tilton, Rebecca Hackler and Library Director Catherine Callegari
Peg called the meeting to order at 4:32 pm
Peg motioned to accept the July 10, 2019 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Kristan Vote: all in favor

Treasurers Report- Total Library accounts $ 7,221 ($ 12,552 )
Checking: $ 6,131 Memorial Fund: $ 653 ($ Austin 5,331 )
Fines: $ 76 Petty Cash: $361

Librarian Statistics-
Door count: 1038 Meeting Room Usage: 12 New Patrons: 8
Circulation 1848 Computer usage: 60
Program attendance: 328 (Adults: 109 Children: 219)
Summer Reading 134 participants

Highlights- Activities/ Events
TES outreach- relationships with TES new librarian
Yo-yo show – will be scheduled for the recreation dept summer camp. Hunter the Yo-yo master.
Program on Sept 24 @6pm On the history of Gap and Monadnock. Presentation by rangers from Monadnock State Park
Book sale- Friday Oct 11th 6-8 pm & Saturday Oct 12th 9-2pm

Old Business
• Summer reading wrap up discussion
• THS flea market event 7/2 on the Troy Common- 65.00 in sales, but the main goal was outreach
• Action -TD bank signature card for Kristan Tilton – Jaffrey location
• Operating Budget- on target
• Austin trust- 2 new rugs for the kids area, vox wonderbooks, felt board for downstairs
• Building Maintenance- Two lights on route 12 side of the building are damaged and need to be replaced, landscaping stumps have been removed, grass seed will be planted
• Grants: CLiF summer reading grant- the 8/1/19 event at the Troy Rec was a big success. 61 kids- loved the free books, Pilcrow Grant- total of 101 books received. Utilized matching funds from Marion Austin trust, ASRT National Library partnership grant- 500.00 in Radiology books

New Business
• Board Office of Chairman- Becky motioned to nominate Peg Rouleau, seconded by Kristan. Vote: all in favor
• Board Office of Treasurer- Becky motioned to nominate Kristan Tilton, seconded by Peg. Vote: all in favor
• Board Office of Secretary- Peg motioned to nominate Becky Hackler, seconded by Kristan. Vote: all in favor
• Library trends discussed- going fine free.
• A new Interlibrary loan has system has been purchased by the NH state library which will decrease the amount of time spent processing ILLS. The official date to go live has not been announced.
