Members Present: Peg Rouleau, Kristan Tilton, Rebecca Hackler and Library Director Catherine Callegari

Peg called the meeting to order at 4:34 pm

Peg motioned to accept the May 6, 2020 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Kristan   Vote: all in favor

Treasurers Report–   Total Library accounts $14,070

Checking:  $ 10,142            Memorial Fund: $ 653  ( Austin $ 3071 )

Fines: $ 77                            Petty Cash: $127

Librarian Statistics–    (Pick up and by appointment 5/18)                                                      

Door count: 128        Meeting Room Usage: 0        Overdues: 2 items

Circulation 702           Computer usage: 9                 Program & Outreach attendance: 15

Highlights- Activities/ Events

  • Library materials available by pick up or appointment 5/18/20 –  Covid19 pandemic
  • Social media touch points enhanced, Virtual Zoom Read n’ Run for grades 1 & 2
  • Library closed in observance of the holiday – Saturday, July 4th
  • Summer reading grant received to refresh literacy back backs with stimulating items/activities – $ 350

Old Business

  • Budget
    • Operating Budget- Chrisi corrected the custodian line item error
    • The Library is now paying the phone bill directly then will be reimbursed from the town budget line item
    • Library budget, Trust funds – on target for expenses
    • Library Covid costs- $484 the face shields purchased for the staff are working well and feedback is positive
  • Pandemic – the stay at home order will probably be lifted by the Governor of the State of NH June 16
    • Kristian motioned to open the library with limited capacity and social distancing effective 6/16- 2nd by Peg Vote: all in favor
  • Building Maintenance
    • old water fountain has been replaced with the new model
    • Air Conditioners were installed by town public works crew

New Business

  • Summer Reading program flyer was distributed – The Peterborough Mason’s will be donating 2 bikes for prizes
  • Safety masks are available free for the patrons
  • Kristan Tilton has enrolled in a virtual Trustee Orientation workshop via Zoom
