Board of Trustees Meeting October 2, 2019
Members Present: Peg Rouleau, Kristan Tilton, Rebecca Hackler and Library Director Catherine Callegari
Kristan called the meeting to order at 4:34 pm
Kristan motioned to accept the September 11, 2019 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Becky Vote: all in favor
Treasurers Report- Total Library accounts $ 5,473 ($ 8,584 )
Checking: $ 4,418 Memorial Fund: $ 653 ( Austin $ 3,111 )
Fines: $ 76 Petty Cash: $326
Librarian Statistics-
Door count: 1033 Meeting Room Usage: 11 New Patrons: 16
Circulation 1669 Computer usage: 68 Program attendance: 368 (Adults: 105 Children: 263)
Highlights- Activities/ Events
• Book sale- Friday Oct 11th 6-8 pm & Saturday Oct 12th 9-2pm
• 10/23 Coyote Program at 7pm
Old Business
• The history of Gap and Monadnock presentation by summer interpretive ranger Nell Davis from Monadnock State Park on Sept 24 was well attended with 31 folks there.
• TD bank signature card for all set now for all 3 trustees
• Operating Budget- on target. Great job managing expenses
• Austin trust- some patron chairs have been replaced
• Building Maintenance- lights are completed, grass seed has been planted
New Business
• TES class visits, 7 of 10 classrooms have visited the library
• Troy Festival – Sunday Oct 6 10am-4pm we will have a table with some library promotional handouts
• Square credit card reader has increased their fees slightly
• The Budget Committee’s meeting for reviewing the Library’s 2020 budget is Monday, Nov 4th @ 6pm. The committee will be using the Library for their seasonal meetings.
