Board of Trustees Meeting October 7, 2020
Members Present: Peg Rouleau, Kristan Tilton, Rebecca Hackler and Library Director Catherine Callegari
Peg called the meeting to order at 4:34 pm
Peg motioned to accept the October 7, 2020 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Kristan Vote: all in favor
Treasurers Report- Total Library accounts $9,972
Checking: $ 5,841 Memorial Fund: $ 653 ( Austin $ 3071 )
Fines: $ 77 Petty Cash: $331
Librarian Statistics- (Pick up, by appointment 6/2 regular hours 6/15)
Door count: 705 Meeting Room Usage: 9 Overdues: 25 items
Circulation 1,522 Computer usage: 50 Program & Outreach attendance: 101
Highlights- Activities/ Events
Troy budget committee weekly meetings will start at the end of the month
Donations in Memory of Pat Blodgett
New printer
Old Business
• Operating Budget- Library budget, Trust funds – on target for expenses
• Library Covid costs to date is 1358
• Library building maintenance: power washing is scheduled for 10/15
• Covid Pandemic – a 3rd air purifier was purchased with winter months coming
• TES – reading outreach has been provided rotating K- Gr. 3/4
New Business
• The Library Assistant has given her 2 week resignation notice – position will be reposted and alternate ways to cover the shifts will be considered
• An exterior surveillance camera has been requested by TPD – request under review
• A draft of the Library operating budget was reviewed by the trustees – Kristian motioned to present the proposed budget as written to the budget committee, seconded by Peg. Vote: all in favor
• The trustees approved the following Library holiday closings:
Thanksgiving Nov. 25, 26, 27 and for Christmas Dec. 24, 25, 26 and for the New Year Dec 31, Jan 1, 2
