Board of Trustees Meeting September 2, 2020
Members Present: Peg Rouleau, Kristan Tilton, Rebecca Hackler and Library Director Catherine Callegari
Peg called the meeting to order at 4:34 pm
Kristan motioned to accept the August 5, 2020 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Peg Vote: all in favor
Treasurers Report- Total Library accounts $10,769
Checking: $ 6,734 Memorial Fund: $ 653 ( Austin $ 3071 )
Fines: $ 77 Petty Cash: $234
Librarian Statistics- (Pick up, by appointment 6/2 regular hours 6/15)
Door count: 658 Meeting Room Usage: 5 Overdues: 31 items
Circulation 1,326 Computer usage: 33 Program & Outreach attendance: 76
Highlights- Activities/ Events
The Library meeting room is being utilized for town meetings while their meeting rooms are under renovation
The library is scheduling outdoor story times with TES
Interlibrary loans have a tentative start date of 9/15/20
Old Business
• Operating Budget & Library budget – on target for expenses
• Library Covid costs to date is $1,272
• Library building power washing is needed – service providers are under review
• Summer Reading and CliF presentation went well with the Troy Rec dept
• Library policies for: Policy for Covid -19 in the Library, Exposure chart and Guidelines for services during an infectious disease event were reviewed. Kristan motioned to accept the policies as written, seconded by Peg, vote: all in favor
New Business
• An offer was made for the Library Assistant position to Rayanne Lepisto, she accepted, her start date is 9/2/20
• Paying to have a Notary on staff opens the library to liability exposure therefore the Library won’t be doing that at this time
• Troy Fall Festival – October 10th – Potential story walk activity
• Meeting adjourned 5:43 pm
