Board of Trustees Meeting December 4, 2019
Members Present: Peg Rouleau, Kristan Tilton, Rebecca Hackler and Library Director Catherine Callegari
Peg called the meeting to order at 4:33 pm
Peg motioned to accept the November 6, 2019 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Kristan Vote: all in favor
Treasurers Report- Total Library accounts $ 4,086 ($ 7,157 )
Checking: $ 2994 Memorial Fund: $ 653 ( Austin $ 3,071 )
Fines: $ 76 Petty Cash: $363
Librarian Statistics-
Door count: 772 Meeting Room Usage: 14 New Patrons: 1
Circulation 1,537 Computer usage: 45 Program attendance: 174 (Adults: 25 Children: 149)
Highlights- Activities/ Events
December programming- crafty Saturdays. Various crafts for all ages most Saturdays in December
Old Business
Operating Budget- on target. Austin trust- on target. Trust funds approx. 8,000 for 2020
Building Maintenance – all scheduled items are completed.
Letter of Understanding- template created for the Trustees to utilize if needed.
ILL Policy- Becky motioned to accept the new policy with update. Seconded by Kristan. Vote: all in favor.
Holiday Policy- Becky motioned to table the updated policy until comparative research has been completed.
Seconded by Peg. Vote: all in favor.
New Business
Educational conferences 2020: Public Library Association, Nashville TN (2/25 through 2/30) estimate $800-1,000
Book Expo in NYC (5/27 through 5/29) estimate $200.00 mostly for shipping of books
Catherine will apply for grants if available to offset cost of the conferences
Kristan motioned to approve the above educational conferences as proposed, seconded by Peg. Vote: all in favor
