Board of Trustees Meeting February 5, 2020
Members Present: Peg Rouleau, Kristan Tilton, Rebecca Hackler and Library Director Catherine Callegari
Peg called the meeting to order at 4:31 pm
Peg motioned to accept the January 8, 2020 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Kristan Vote: all in favor
Treasurers Report- Total Library accounts $16,027
Checking: $ 11,989 Memorial Fund: $ 653 (Austin $ 3,071)
Fines: $ 76 Petty Cash: $238
Librarian Statistics-
Door count: 757 Meeting Room Usage: 11 New Patrons: 11
Circulation 1,461 Computer usage: 41 Program & Outreach attendance: 157 (Adults: 21 Children: 136)
Highlights- Activities/ Events
• Programming donation: White Mountain Puzzles for the puzzle contest
• Summer program 6/20/20 at 11am, Wildlife Encounters
• Summer program # 2: a grant was submitted for a second program, more information to come
• Free tax document printing up to 10 pages until 4/15/20
Old Business
• Operating Budget, Library budget, Trust funds – all on target for expenses.
• 2019 Year end operating budget provided to the Library Trustees
• Building Maintenance – Water fountain on schedule for replacement
• Fine free policy – updated policy and scope provided to the trustees for approval.
Kristan motioned to accept the proposed fine free policy as written, seconded by Peg. Vote: all in favor. The new policy will be reviewed monthly for effectiveness. Permanently lost items policy remains the same, the patron is responsible for replacing the lost item.
New Business
• The Trustees of the Trust Funds will attend our March 4th meeting to review Library trust fund and allocations
• Kristan Tilton will be running as a Library Trustee as a “write in” candidate on the ballot
• Becky will cover the Library on 2/13/20 from 6-7pm as Catherine will be attending the Troy town budget hearing
