Minutes of April meeting approved
Jennifer went over the treasurer report, director’s report in-house program and outreach programs. Numbers have not yet reached pre-pandemic levels but are increasing and headed in the right direction.
Old Business: website redesign review. Kristan made a motion to approve the website redesign and make it live. any public comments or feedback to be presented at the next meeting. Colleen seconded the motion and all were in favor.
Discussion was had over purusing changing banks to a local bank. Colleen to inquire and schedule appointment with savings bank of Walpole to meet with municipal account representative.
Summering Reading Program: Jen is moving forward with plans for the summer reading program and would like to bring back the dog agility show that did our kickoff event last year. Due to cost needs, approval to move forward with booking them. Kristan made a motion to approve summer reading program activities. Colleen seconded and all were in favor.
Reader Zone App – we are currently utilizing a free reading demo which allows up to 25 users on the app. the app keeps a record of all the books you read and have interactive features to encourage reading goals for kids. Looking to potentially continue using beyond the demo. The prices were pulled up at the meeting and found to be reasonable. Kristan made a motion to approve the cost of Readerzone app for use in the summer reading program. We will sign up for the readerzone “summer reading plan” if/when interest reaches the 20-participant mark. Colleen seconded and all were in favor. Kristan also made a motion to approve the summer plan cost of the readerzone app which is $30.99 for the entire summer for up to 50 participants. Colleen seconded and all were in favor.
