Board of Trustees Meeting March 6, 2019
Members Present: Jacque Sendrowski, Rebecca Hackler, Charleen Hoefsmit and Library Director Catherine Callegari
Public: Peg Rouleau
Jacque called the meeting to order at 4:40 pm
Jacque motioned to accept the February 6, 2019 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Charleen
Vote: all in favor

Public Comments: Peg Rouleau requested the use of the Library meeting room for voter registration later in the year. Peg will provide a schedule to Catherine.

Treasurers Report- Total Library accounts $9,697
Checking: 8771 Memorial Fund: 653
Fines: 49 Petty Cash: 224

Librarian Statistics-
Door count: 724 Meeting Room usage: 5 New Patrons: 3
Circulation 1,288 Computer usage: 49

Highlights- Activities/ Events
Winter reading bingo- bingo cards have been sent home through TES, adults and kids can participate
Children’s Literacy Foundation – CLiF programing grant
New DVD spinner in use, a 2nd one is on order for the price of 1. Greatly expanded the ease of access to inventory

Old Business
Building Maintenance- One of the outside lamp covers blew away, will need replacement
The HP copier lifespan has expired, a new copier has been purchased
Conferences: SLJ Day of Dialog- May, ALA- June, Rural Library Assoc- Sept
NHLA MacDonald Fund Grant- 331.00 The scholarships cover cost and mileage for SLJ Day of Dialog
The Library operating budget for 2019 was discussed at the Budget Hearing. Both the Budget Committee and Select Board agree with the Library Board of Trustees on the amount – next step is voting at town meeting
The Warrant Article for the Library’s Expendable Trust Fund has been incorporated into the Town’s Expendable Trust Fund request.
Library policy update topics discussed – Social media
Jacque motioned to approve the revised Library General policy and the GKL Personnel policy as written
seconded by Charleen Vote: all in favor

New Business
Lunch @the Library & Family fun day April 6th- stations will be set up with various activities with donations from
CLiF programing grant $250 in children’s books from FirstBooks and $250 for a Parent/Family activity
Nature backpacks- we are anticipating having several back backs ready with varying themes
52 children’s books added to the collection, Shelia offering an extra story time session
Catherine will inquire about using the big sing in front of town hall for advertising and Jacque and Peg will put up the wording
