Board of Trustees Meeting November 6, 2019
Members Present: Peg Rouleau, Kristan Tilton, Rebecca Hackler and Library Director Catherine Callegari
Peg called the meeting to order at 4:31 pm
Kristan motioned to accept the October 2, 2019 meeting minutes as written, seconded by Peg Vote: all in favor
Treasurers Report– Total Library accounts $ 4,801 ($ 7,872 )
Checking: $ 3740 Memorial Fund: $ 653 ( Austin $ 3,071 )
Fines: $ 76 Petty Cash: $332
Librarian Statistics–
Door count: 1232 Meeting Room Usage: 12 New Patrons: 4
Circulation 1917 Computer usage: 85 Program attendance: 459 (Adults: 51 Children: 408)
Highlights- Activities/ Events
• ASRT display – X-rays from Radiology
• WW1 Poster exhibition
• New rubber mat at the entry way to catch some of the sand and snow
Old Business
• Library operating budget- trustees received copies of handouts provided to the Troy Budget Committee
• Kristan motioned to approve the 2020 Library tentative budget as presented to the Budget Committee, seconded by Peg. Vote: all in favor
• Library accounts are on target for revenue and expenses
• Building Maint- power washing of entry way is needed
• 2020 Book sales successful- May$ 976 and October $877- grand total $1863.00
• Coyote presentation- 16 people attended. Positive feedback on the program
• Staff appreciation/ volunteer dinner – held at Elm City Brewery
New Business
• Kristan provided an update on the regional trustees meeting
• Proposed Library holiday schedule – Closed: 11/28, 12/24, 12/25, 12/26, 1/1 and early close at 5pm 12/31 Kristan motioned to approve the above holiday schedule, seconded by Peg. Vote: all in favor
• The trustees will revisit the holiday policy at the next meeting
