SELECT BOARD MEETING MINUTES

TOWN OF TROY

Monday, October 13, 2015 5:00 p.m.

Selectmen Present: Howard M. Sheats, Jr., Allan Bailey, and William T. Matson

                                                                                                                                               

Chairman Sheats called the meeting to order at 4:55 p.m.

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to accept Selectmen Meeting Minutes from October 5, 2015 SECOND Selectmen Matson VOTE unanimous

Selectmen Matson MOVED to have Alissa Fox call and negotiate the best oil prices from Fraticelli Oil, Schimp Oil, and any others that she feels she should call SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous

Chairman Sheats will call George Fish about his vehicle that is on the Pelto’s Barn Property

Code Enforcer – Selectmen Matson recommended Daniel Moore for code enforcer. Select Board asked Mrs. Fox to have Mr. Moore come in on October 19, 2015 at 5:00 pm to talk to him about the position and see if he is interested.

5:20 pm Bob Norton, Recreation Committee – Mr. Norton informed the Select Board that he has some people missing from the recreation committee and now that they are back they can start interviewing for the recreation director position. Mr. Norton was given the recreation department budget for what has been spent so far this year. The Select Board asked Mr. Norton for the committee to go over the budget and get back to the Board with their budget for next year. Mr. Norton asked about purchasing fire doors for the basement boiler room. The Select Board stated that if there is money left in the budget then go ahead and buy them. Mr. Norton stated that movie night is starting on October 23, 2015.

5:40 pm Karl Boes – Mr. Boes wants to get a building permit to put a new trailer on his property at 109 Prospect St. Mr. Boes states that there was a trailer there once but the concrete pad is no longer there. Selectmen Matson states that it is not grandfathered because the concrete pad is not present. Also in question, can another trailer be put on the 1.18 acre lot along with the 3 existing trailers? Selectmen Matson MOVED to have Mr. Boes go to the Zoning Board SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to change the Selectmen’s meetings to 4:00 pm instead of 5:00 pm. SECOND Selectmen Matson VOTE unanimous

Selectmen Matson MOVED to adjourn at 6:03 pm SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous.
