SELECT BOARD MEETING MINUTES

TOWN OF TROY

Monday, September 28, 2015 5:00 p.m.

Selectmen Present: Howard M. Sheats, Allan Bailey, and William T. Matson

Chairman Sheats called the meeting to order at 4:58 p.m.

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to accept Selectmen Meeting Minutes from September 22, 2015 SECOND Chairman Sheats VOTE unanimous

5:00pm Rebeckah Bullock, ADA Closeout Public Meeting – Closeout for the Community Development Block Grant, Troy Town Hall ADA Compliance Feasibility Study. No public present at the meeting. Chairman Sheats asked about the grant for the windows in the Town Hall. Ms. Bullock stated there would be other grants. Selectmen Matson gave update that part of the ADA grant was to add some security for the tax collectors and selectmen’s office. Chairman Sheats asked if there was any public comment. There was no comment because there was no one in attendance. Selectmen Matson MOVED to close the public meeting on the ADA study grant SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous

Code Enforcer – Selectmen Bailey suggested that maybe Robert Stearns would like the position of code enforcer he has the building back ground. The Select Board agreed that Selectmen Bailey will contact Robert Stearns and see if he is interested in the position.

Vision Contract for 2017 – Chairman Sheats stated we should call Bruce Summers at Worldwide Computers and make sure that the vision software is being backed up on his equipment. If it is then we have no need for vision’s backup service.

Patricia Hunter Building Permit for South Main St – Selectmen reviewed setbacks and zoning ordinances and have approved the building permit.

102 West Hill, Bastoni Property – Complaint about a wrecked Winnebago that has pieces of it missing and the property owner’s son is living in it. Selectmen Matson would like Alissa Fox to research the ordinances and find the one that has to do with RV’s being used as a home and send to the property owners.

Chairman Sheats would like to resign and have Selectmen Matson be the Chairman for the Select Board. Selectmen Matson asked if he could have the week to think about it cause he really doesn’t want the position he things that Chairman Sheats is doing a good job. Chairman Sheats said he would continue being the Chairman.

Selectmen Matson gave an update on the pipeline meeting he attended.

The Select Board reviewed the budget worksheets.

Selectmen Matson MOVED to look at Recreation Committee’s actual expenses spent for the year at next weeks meeting and have the Recreation Committee come in the following week SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous

Selectmen Matson MOVED to have Bruce Summers from Worldwide Computers come in at next week’s meeting to go over any suggestions for the computer systems for next year SECOND Bailey VOTE unanimous

Chairman Sheats MOVED to adjourn at 6:07 pm SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous
