SELECT BOARD MEETING  MINUTES

TOWN OF TROY

Monday, May 23, 2016 5:00 p.m.

Selectmen Present:  Barbara Guelcher, Allan Bailey and William T. Matson

Selectmen Matson called the meeting to order at 4:56 p.m.

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to accept Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes from 5/9/16 and 5/16/16  SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous

Janet McCullough & Marcy Johnson – Both agree that GFA option for a courier will not work.  The Select Board asked them what their suggestion is for banking.  Both Mrs. Johnson & Mrs. McCullough stated that we should just stay with TD Bank for now.

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to have the 3 full-time police officers bonded so that they can take deposits to the bank SECOND Chairman Matson VOTE unanimous

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to have Alissa Fox recommend a credit card for the town SECOND Chairman Matson VOTE unanimous

Chief Ellis – when fire work permits are signed and approved who is liable. Chief Ellis will contact the State and see what they say and get back to the Select Board.

Chairman Matson MOVED to accept vacant registration with $500 fee and Chairman Matson and Selectmen Bailey will work on an ordinance for the Town SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous

Shane’s Trucking has been brought to the attention of the Select Board that he has piles of logs on the Mill parking lot that he is renting.  Chairman Matson MOVED to have Mrs. Fox write a letter to Shane’s Trucking inquiring for a copy of his liability insurance SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous

Posting Richmond Rd to 10,000 lbs. was recommended by the Road Agent James Dicey.  Chairman Matson MOVED to approve Mr. Dicey’s recommendation of posting Richmond Rd SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous

The Conservation Commission would like some no littering signs in Town.  Chairman Matson MOVED to approve the Conservation Commissions request of purchasing 2 no littering signs SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous

Pelto’s Property – someone is living in the house. The plywood has been taken down at the barn. There is a log truck parked on the property. The Select Board will take no action till the 31st of May.

83 High St has a sewage leak that is going into the road. Chairman Matson suggest that the Town pumps the septic tank, add some dirt to the top of the septic tank, and replace their toilet to see if that fixes the sewage leak problem.

Tax Liens given by Tax Collector – Chairman Matson MOVED to accept the list of tax lien properties SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous

19 Russell Ave release of lien request – Selectmen Bailey researched and made a phone call to the company requesting the release of the lien.  Selectmen Bailey didn’t receive a return phone call.  Selectmen Bailey believes there is nothing that needs to be done on our end.

Granite St – Selectmen Bailey met with Mr. Dicey and Meridian Land Surveying at the end of Granite St.  Meridian will put together a package for the Select Board.

Next week’s Selectmen’s Meeting has been moved to Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
