Selectmen Present: Barbara Guelcher, Allan Bailey and William T. Matson
Selectmen Matson called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Selectmen Bailey MOVED approve Selectmen’s Meeting minutes from September 26, 2016 SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous
Granite St Turnaround – Letter signed by Select Board to all residents of Granite St.
Chairman Matson MOVED to revise the letter to Mr. Kinyon on Summit Trails property SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous
Conservation Commission letter requesting line item moves Selectmen Bailey MOVED to accept purchases by the Conservation Commission SECOND Chairman Matson VOTE unanimous
State of NH letter – Monadnock Family Trails have been taken off of Grant in Aid.
Troy Mills Update – Attorney Little’s voicemail suggested we put Troy Mills back on the tax roll. Then in 2 years the Town can do a tax lien on the property. The Select Board would like KRT to put Troy Mills back on the tax roll for the value of $100,000. Chairman Matson MOVED to put Troy Mills on the tax roll for $100,000 SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous
Chief David Ellis in regards to the Humane Society letter – Chairman Matson stated that if we are doing something different with animal control now will be the time cause of budget for next year. Chairman Matson MOVED to have Chief Ellis go over the animal control budget with his suggestions on animal control and to end the relationship with George Fish as of December 31, 2016 SECOND Selectwoman Guelcher VOTE unanimous
Drug & Alcohol Addiction Awareness – Alissa Fox, Chief David Ellis, Stephanie Charlefour – Broke off from the Keene Hates Heroin Group so that focus can be made on Troy Residents. First Narcan/CPR/First Aid training will be at the SEP Community Center on November 13th. Mrs. Charlefour has made calls to AA and NA to try and get some started in Troy. Mrs. Charlefour has also made connections with a psychologist that is a resident in Town that would like to help with some services for Children who have been affected by drug or alcohol abuse. Addiction Awareness meeting for any town residents that would like to get involved is October 19 at 6:30 pm at the Library.
Troyfest Committee Budget – Barbara Guelcher, Stanley Clark, Jessica Clark, David Ellis – Selectmen Bailey MOVED to recommend the Troyfest budget to the Budget Committee SECOND Chairman Matson VOTE 2 yes 1 abstain
Common Repairs for more electrical – Mrs. Fox get budgets for next week’s meeting.
Dennis Chamberlain – Mr. Chamberlain would like to relocate his business, Pit Stop Smokehouse. Mr. Chamberlain wants to use the building at 111 North Main St for catering and preparation and then have his food truck that would sell food. Chairman Matson stated that there was no ordinance for food trucks.
Embezzlement in Fitzwilliam – Signatures on committee checking accounts discussed.
Francis Merlone – would like to donate some of his land at 48 Richmond Rd. The Select Board suggested that we get him in contact with the Conservation Committee.
