Selectmen Matson called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
Selectmen Bailey MOVED to accept the Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes from 3/21/16 SECOND Selectwoman Guelcher VOTE unanimous
Janet McCullough, Tax Anticipation Note – Selectmen Bailey MOVED to allow Janet McCullough the Treasurer to take out a tax anticipation note in the amount of $200,000 SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous
Chairman Matson MOVED to give Shane’s Trucking 30 days from the day we emailed the rental contract before we bring it up again for discussion SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous
Chairman Matson MOVED to appoint Fenella Levick, Kathleen Clarke, and Andrea Thackston to the Heritage Commission SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous
Chairman Matson MOVED to a accept the investment policy that was drafted up by Selectman Bailey SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous
Rental / Landlord Complaints – Chairman Matson explained how this policy would work to help with the complaints that come in from renters and landlords. TABLED
Chairman Matson MOVED to accept the Right-to-Know law with corrections SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous
5:45 pm Bruce Summers, World Wide Computers – Website – Mr. Summers stated that it would be the end of April before he could get started on the website. Mr. Summers stated that he would get a quote to the Selectmen’s Office based on what we want for a website.
5:50 pm Gary Lang – Mr. Lang’s wants to request more time for his hearing. The Select Board doesn’t see a need for an extra 2 hours of time. The Select Board told Mr. Lang to go ahead and request the additional time from the Land Appeals but the Select Board does not concur with the additional time. Mr. Lang will come into the April 5, 2016 Selectmen’s Meeting to go over some of his abatement problems.
Shane’s Trucking – Changed the rental contract for the Troy Mills Property from 1 year to 6 months for a value of $3,000. Shane’s Trucking paid the $3,000 in full and signed the contract.
Changes & Corrections to personnel policies – TABLED
John & Kim Nalen from 42 Granite St – They don’t want people turning around on their property. They have had to confront hunters that have been on the property. Someone took out the fire pit turning around on their property. Chairman Matson explained that the Town trucks need to be able to turn around when they are plowing and sanding. Chairman Matson stated that we would like to work them to make sure the Town trucks have a place to turn around. Chairman Matson would like to meet Jim Dicey at the end of Granite St on April 11, 2016 during the Selectmen’s Meeting.
Chairman Matson update about issues with the school budget money that was defeated. Chairman Matson meeting with Fitzwilliam and Swanzey Selectmen to get them to join with us on writing a letter to the School Board.
