SELECT BOARD MEETING  MINUTES

TOWN OF TROY

Monday, May 9, 2016 5:00 p.m.

Selectmen Present:  Barbara Guelcher, Allan Bailey and William T. Matson

Selectmen Matson called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m.

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to accept the Selectmen’s Meeting Non-Public Minutes from 5/2/16  SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to accept the Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes from 5/4/16  SECOND Selectwomen Guelcher VOTE unanimous

April Stevens / Stanley Downs of 19 Russell Ave payoff on lien letter from lawyers.

Chairman Matson MOVED to accept tax lien list from tax collector SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous

GFA Bank – can’t offer an ATM but can offer a courier service, the only deposit that the courier couldn’t do is the Thursday night deposit the police department would still need to do. All other deposits that courier would need to pick up can’t have cash for safety reasons so a money order with the postal service would need to be purchased. The Select Board stated that they would have to discuss the options with the Treasurer and Tax Collector.

5:40 pm Wilson Adair/ Rachel Adair/ Richard Freeland of 241 Monadnock St – Rachel Adair did not keep up with the payment schedule that was made in May of 2015 to get the property taxes caught up.  The Select Board stated that Ms. Adair would need to pay $60/week to get the past property taxes and keep current for 2016 property taxes.  The payment would need to be done every week for the next year. Ms. Adair asked what the total cost owed was.  The Select Board stated that the totaled owed on taxes and interest are $2040.00.  Ms. Adair stated that Mr. Freeland (the father of Ms. Adair’s children who reside with her) would pay by a check on Tuesday for the full amount so that all property taxes are paid in full.

Selectmen Bailey MOVED to allow Chief Ellis to hire Daniel Moore if that is Chief Ellis’s recommendation SECOND Chairman Matson VOTE unanimous

Ambulance News Release – Selectmen Bailey suggest that we prepare a news release that is ready to go that outlines everything.

Granite St – James Dicey would like to work with Meridian.  Chairman Matson MOVED to have Alissa Fox call Meridian to set-up time to meet with Mr. Dicey and go over the details for the new turn around SECOND Selectmen Bailey VOTE unanimous

Mrs. Fox to send letters to tax deeded property owners to set-up meeting with the Select Board
