This collection consists of non-fiction and fiction on compact disc. Downloadable audio also available by clicking here.  Your Library card number is necessary to download items.

Children’s Materials

The library has children’s materials available in a variety of formats including books, magazines, stories with read alongs, DVD and a variety of special collections including Great Stone Face and Ladybug Award-winning books.

Computer & Internet Use

The library has access to the Internet via its 2 public computers as well as a WiFi. The public computers have Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Printing is available: 10¢ per page, black & white, 25¢ per page in color.

Ask about our story times and our book groups.  Every May and October we have our spectacular book sales. Donations are accepted year round, but please call before you drop them off. Every summer we have a summer reading program for everyone.

Friends of the Library

If you would like to start a Friends of the Library Group, please let us know. A Friends group is dedicated to helping the Library further its mission. It would help with the Annual Book Sales and raise money to support the Summer Reading Program and other events, and purchases for the Library.

Interlibrary Loan

If you are looking for an item that you are unable to find in the library you may request that we borrow it from another library through Interlibrary Loan. Items requested must have been published/released for more than 6 months.  ILLs usually take about one to two weeks to arrive.

Large Print Books

The library has a collection of fiction and non-fiction large print books.


The library currently subscribes to numerous magazines including such varied titles Consumer Reports, Cooks Illustrated, This Old House, New Hampshire Magazine, Oprah, and People. Call the Library at 242.7743 for a full list.

Meeting Space

Meeting space is available for community organizations in the Ripley Meeting Room. Stop by the library or click here to fill out the application form and get a copy of our building usage policy.

Online Magazines & Databases

Our online resources are a free resource for all of our Library patrons provided by the New Hampshire State Library.  You can access from home  over 1,000 full-text periodicals through EBSCO; health information; census and other information through NoveList, a reader’s advisory service. Contact the Library at 242.7743 or at for the appropriate login and password.

Reader’s Advisory

The library staff is more than happy to help you find the next great thing to read. Aside from our staff of readers, we have a access to NoveList, an online reader’s advisory service, to help you decide. Contact the Library for the login and password for NoveList.

Reference Services

The Library has reference materials including everything from dictionaries and encyclopedias to maps to telephone books to works on a variety of other subjects. The library also subscribes to online resources.  Reference inquiries are accepted in person or by phone at 242.7743 or via email.

Telescope & STEM items

Start stargazing tonight! Check out our telescope for up to 2 weeks! Comes with instructions & handy carrying basket.  Plus we also have available for checkout a microscope, early literacy backpacks, nature backpacks, Marble Maze game and more.

DVD Collection

A large collection of children’s, feature, and special interest DVDs are available. Parents, please note that the Library does not monitor what your children check-out. They have access to our entire collection of books, audio-books and movies.To help families in making their DVD selections we have separated our G & PG DVDs into a family friendly “Family DVD” section. If you wish to limit what your child is allowed to check-out, please ask us about putting a note on your child’s record.
