Tax rates set for area towns

The N.H. Department of Revenue Administration has set the 2014 tax rates in several area communities. They include:

In Alstead, the tax rate is $23.80, down 11.2 percent from last year’s rate of $26.80. The tax bill on a $200,000 house would be $4,760.

In Richmond, the tax rate is $25.95, down 0.8 percent from last year’s rate of $26.16. The tax bill on a $200,000 house would be $5,190.

In Roxbury, the tax rate is $27.08, up 23.9 percent from last year’s rate of $21.85. The tax bill on a $200,000 house would be $5,416.

In Stoddard, the tax rate is $15.91, up 1.1 percent from last year’s rate of $15.74. The tax bill on a $200,00 house would be $3,182.

In Troy, the tax rate is $35.10, down 3.2 percent from last year’s rate of $36.26. The tax bill on a $200,000 house would be $7,020.

In Walpole, the tax rate is $21.94, down 0.5 percent from last year’s rate of $22.04. The tax bill on a $200,000 house would be $4,388.

In Westmoreland, the tax rate is $21.78, down 2.8 percent from last year’s rate of $22.41. The tax bill on a $200,000 house would be $4,356.

In Winchester, the tax rate is $30.58, down 0.5 percent from last year’s rate of $30.73. The tax bill on a $200,000 house would be $6,116.
